LDM invites you to consider a Human Resources position located in our Washington, DC office. We are seeking experienced (W2, FTE or 1099) professionals in the following areas:

Compensation Specialist.  Design/analyze compensation systems to reflect the customers’ organization’s internal job hierarchy. Provide expertise on compensation related analysis particularly related to annual headcount/salary budgeting and ongoing headcount/salary variance reporting. While accomplishing these and other critical functions:
  • Uses market data to provide compensation recommendations for individual positions across the firm. Identifies comparable positions and industries to make recommendations for hard-to-find or unique positions.
  • Conducts job analyses on both existing and new jobs to determine appropriate salary level according to customer guidelines and market conditions.
  • Provides compensation analysis at the person-to-person, job-to-job, office-to-office, and Firm-to-market levels to ensure equity and competitiveness.
  • Participates in salary surveys and analyzes market compensation survey results to determine customer market relationship.
  • Coordinates the several annual compensation review processes including (but not limited to) the two annual merit increases and the two annual bonus payments.
  • Makes recommendations to management based on results of analysis.
  • Works with managers firm-wide to provide additional analysis as requested. Suggests potential additional analysis based on the problems/questions of customer managers.
Part-time HR/Administrative Coordinator Consultant.  This position will support the Chief Executives with various ad hoc admin/HR related tasks.  Must have the ability and personal setup to work from your home (i.e., computer, internet access, fax, printer and phone access).  Must be flexible and able to effectively communicate both written and verbally.  Pleasant phone voice required.  Able to conduct phone screen interviews, schedule client appointments, plan firm events, travel locally, meet with prospects/vendor/clients and work from a virtue office.  Successful consultant will be proficient in MS Office (2003 and or 2007).  This will be an extension of the CEO's right arm.  Great opportunity to get on board from the ground up and to grow.  This role will graduate to a full time position as the firm grows.  Must be reliable, dedicated and have a passion for Human Resources Management!

Benefits and Compensation Commercial Practice.  Min. 8+years of Benefits Administrations and management experience required. Must be experience working with brokers, benefits analysis, various health care, dental, FMLA, HIPPA, vision, LTC, STD, LTC plans.  Knowledgeable of 401K, FSA, VETs/EEO-1 reporting, AAP, compensation benchmarks, plan designs, and vendor relationships.

HR Business Partners. We are always looking for partners with HR Generalist experience in various industries.  The ideal consultant will have min. 8+ years hands-on experience.  PHR/SPHR preferred, but not required. Ability to travel within the DC/VA/MD area and work with various clients simultaneously is a must.

Commercial Recruiter Consultant.  All levels of experience sought.  Background in various industries or within the Federal sector.  8+ years of Full Cycle recruiting required.  Must be proficient with Monsters, Careerbuilder, Hotjobs, Associations, USJOBS and various other targeted resources.  Experience in proposal support, ATS's, OFCCP, Contingencies, and Diversity recruiting highly desired.  Engagements may require working on and/or offsite (depending of client requirement).  Must have access to a local resume database to be considered.  Seeking part-time and fulltime partners!

Federal Recruiter Consultant. Must
have 5 -7 years of Title 5 CFR experience with applied knowledge of laws, regulations and policy. Requires direct experience recruiting a variety of General Schedule (GS) positions for both complex senior-level (GS-15 and GS-14) and journeyman/lower-level (GS-13 and below). Knowledge and experience conducting recruitment and outreach of Merit Promotion (MP) and Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) positions a must. Able to analyze and determine minimum qualifications of applicants in accordance with OPM qualifications standards and perform Merit Promotion and DEU staffing actions with minimal assistance.  Experience with USAJOBS database a big plus and OPM hiring standards is required including general knowledge staffing services in conjunction with reductions-in-force, transfers of functions and/or furloughs.

Senior Classification Specialist.  Must have at least 10 years of experience classifying a variety of federal positions up to GS-15 level. Experience applying OPM classification laws, regulations and standards for a variety of positions up GS-15 level.

Senior Benefits Specialist . Requires 7 to 10 years of experiencing advising employees on benefits. Experience counseling employees on health and life insurance election during open season and qualifying life events, counseling employees on retirement and preparing retirement estimates.  Requires a solid understanding and able to interpret OPM's Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) retirement, Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), Federal Employee Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) and Federal Long-Term Care Insurance guidance and handbooks. Must have knowledge and experience reviewing official personnel folders (OPFs) to process relevant forms such as beneficiary of employees.
Must have experience with Title 5 CFR Part 630, Voluntary Leave Transfer Program, administering the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program, performing outreach to employees and conducting orientation briefings and benefits training.  Experience planning, coordinating and executing an open season health benefits fair and processing an employee desk case.

Workers Comp Lost Claims Adjuster.  This position requires you have experience handling Lost Time claims from inception to closure which includes investigating, negotiating and settling these claim files. Also requires you have recent experience handling Maryland W/C Lost Time Claims.
